DETAILS | Cosmos flower here made in satin organza dyed with cochineal (Dactylopius coccus) for the 8 magenta petal-like ray florets. Silk velvet dyed with rhubarb (Rheum emodi) and weld (Reseda luteola), backed with organza dyed with logwood (Haematoxylum campechianum) for the composite center disk florets. All greenery (feathery leaves, bracts…) in satin silk dyed with indigo (Indigofera tinctorum) and weld; same as the silk thread for the stem.

Each flower can be left on its own, displayed on a wooden base or arranged on a vase.
